| New Agents Advisory Council Created |

At The Hartford, we've been working hard to provide a greater voice for agents within our day-to-day operations. We've formalized a number of periodic surveys, built a standing agent feedback council and have introduced regular executive field travel – all to ensure the voice of the agent is constantly present. But we found that we were still missing an agent voice in our strategic deliberations.
This important gap has now been filled with the creation of the Hartford Personal Lines National Agents Advisory Council. Mike Arnaud, who is Senior Vice President, Personal Lines, with BB&T Insurance Services in North Carolina, has been named to be the Advisory Council's first president.
"Clearly, The Hartford leadership recognizes that, in this world of changing of distribution, the agency system is critical to their building and sustaining a healthy enterprise," Arnaud said. "And from my view, a committed partnership with The Hartford can also help to grow our agency business."
